Dr. Isolde Baylor, VMD

Emergency Veterinarian. 30+ Years of Practice.

I've seen it all. Twice.

I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and walked straight into emergency practice. That was over 30 years ago. I've spent the decades since in operating rooms, on overnight shifts, and in the kind of controlled chaos that emergency vet med dishes out daily. Periodontal disease, foreign body surgeries, the 2 AM toxicity cases that keep you sharp whether you want to be or not.

These days I do relief work across the Philadelphia region through Dr. Baylor LLC, helping clinics with GP surgeries, dentals, and the occasional ER shift. I especially love dental work. There's something deeply satisfying about cleaning up a mouth full of periodontal disease and watching a dog bounce back to life. The owners always say "it's like we got a puppy again." They're not wrong.

Somewhere along the way I became a person who builds things. An app for vets (Scooter), a coaching program for stressed-out colleagues (Power of Pacing), and a headshot photography business that now has 174 five-star Google reviews. It's an unusual resume, I know. But every piece of it started the same way: I saw something broken and couldn't leave it alone.

I still practice. I still build. And I still drink my morning coffee on the back porch regardless of the weather. Some things don't change.

Vet Med Photography

I also photograph veterinary teams, practices, and vet med conferences. It started because I knew the world and the people already. Turns out vets are a lot more relaxed in front of my camera when they can talk about a tricky dental extraction between frames. It's a niche I fell into and genuinely love.
